You know when you expect something? Something to be great, like a new boarding school :
":O omg! I have to look my best, I have to be smart, I have to be better, because everyone will be better
and everything will get better..."
or, your first biology test :
"I've been studying for eveeer now, I'm soo ready for this test, I'm going to ace it! yeah I'm so pumped for this
bring it onn.."
or, the weekend :
"yess, I have plans for this weekend. finally, a great one where I'll do more than sit around.."
well, no. It doesn't happen that way.
Whenever I expect something it doesn't seem to be the way I want, dream or obviously expect it to be.
However, when I stop expecting anything from anyone or anything for the future, people think you think
the worst of them, because every time something good happens I get surprised or happy. 
I think its better than high hopes, no?

I don't have much to say. My name is Memi.
So what else do you need to know? Stuff about my family, or where I'm from? None of that matters. Not once you cross the ocean and cut yourself loose, looking for something more beneficial, something more exciting and yes, I admit, something more memorable.
So after twelve hours in the back of an airplane, three dumb movies, two plastic meals, four bottles of water and absolutely no sleep, I finally touch down; in Ottawa.
